Assistant Professor Dr. Laith Muzahim Khudair from the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Receives Acceptance for Publication in an International Journal Indexed in Scopus (Q2), and the College Dean Congratulates Him

In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Laith Muzahim Khudair, a faculty member in the Public Policy Branch of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, has received acceptance for the publication of his research in ICON: Journal of the International Committee for the History of Technology, issued by the International Committee for the History of Technology (ICOHTEC) in Sweden and indexed in Scopus (Q2).
The research is entitled:
“Harnessing the Engine: Left Accelerationism and the Techno-Logic of Capital, A Structural Repetition of Marxism’s Dialectic with the Bourgeoisie.”
The study examines Left Accelerationism and its relationship with the technological logic of capitalism through a critical approach that explores the relationship between technology, capital, and Marxist thought. It also highlights the dialectical structure of the relationship between Marxism and the bourgeoisie and the resulting transformations in contemporary political thought and critical theories.
ICON is an international academic journal specializing in the history of technology and thought associated with technological and social developments. It is a biannual journal published by the International Committee for the History of Technology (ICOHTEC). The research is scheduled to be published in the journal’s forthcoming issue in October 2026, adding another contribution to the international scholarly output of the faculty members of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul.
For its part, the Dean’s Office of the College of Political Science congratulated the researcher on this distinguished academic achievement, wishing him and all faculty members continued success and further scholarly contributions that enhance the academic standing of the University of Mosul and the College of Political Science in international academic forums.
