In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal Four: Quality Education, Goal Sixteen: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and Goal Seventeen: Partnerships for the Goals, and in cooperation with the Studies and Planning Department / Sustainable Development Unit at the University of Mosul Presidency, the University Presidency issued letters of appreciation to four faculty members of the College of Political Science on 20 October 2026.

The letters of appreciation were awarded to Assistant Professor Dr Younis Muayyad Younis, Scientific Deputy Dean; Professor Dr Hazim Hamad Musa, Head of the International Relations Branch; and two faculty members of the branch, Professor Dr Tariq Mohammed Thanoon and Assistant Professor Mohammed Muyassar Fathi.

This recognition acknowledges their efforts in completing two workshops as part of the Research Skills Development Programme for postgraduate students.

In turn, the College Deanship welcomed this kind gesture from the University Presidency, wishing all its faculty members continued excellence and sustained dedication.
