Dr. Khairallah Sabhan led our faculty’s delegation on behalf of the Dean of the Faculty. The delegation visited the Mosul Diocese Center for the Syriac Catholics in Al-Hamdaniya district on Thursday, October 12, 2023. There, the delegation met with Bishop (Mar Bendex Younan), the patron of the diocese, and Father (Behnam Benoka), the Episcopal Vicar of the diocese.

The visiting delegation offered their condolences to the families of the victims of the Al-Haitham Hall incident in Al-Hamdaniya district, praying to the Almighty for mercy on the victims, patience for their families, loved ones, and a speedy recovery for the wounded and injured.

This visit at such a difficult time was meant to share the pain inflicted on our people in Al-Hamdaniya due to the tragic incident that affected many of our nation’s sons.

On their part, both the esteemed patron of the diocese and his Episcopal Vicar expressed their happiness for the university visit, which represented the social cohesion among the different segments of the Iraqi people. They praised the support of the people of Nineveh in all their diversity for standing by them and rescuing the injured and wounded.
