Assistant Lecturer Rasha Suhail Muhammad a faculty member in the International Relations Department at the College of Political Science University of Mosul has published a substantial scientific paper in a peer-reviewed journal indexed in Scopus

Her research, titled “International Variables Affecting the Sovereignty of Nation-States Post-2010: Political Variables as a Model,” was published in January 2024 in the journal *Kurdish Studies*, which is a peer-reviewed journal indexed in Scopus.

The paper discusses the impact of political variables on state sovereignty and the redefinition of its official role, examining these factors as catalysts and causes of global power shifts. It focuses on the process of power transitions, the evolution of the concept, its implications, and its application mechanisms.

The research concluded that unseen power shifts have led to the dispersion of power, a transformation in state centrality, and a reordering of interactions, alliances, and projects.

The paper was co-authored with Professor Dr. Riyad Mahdi Abd Al-Kadhim Al-Zubaidi from the College of Political Science, University of Al-Nahrain.

It is noteworthy that the researcher completed her doctoral thesis at the University of Al-Nahrain with distinction on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.
