The Department of International Relations at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, held a workshop on the evolution of language and cultural norms over time on Tuesday, 12 November 2024.

The workshop featured a lecture presented by Assistant Lecturer Nawwar Basel Mahfoud, discussing the evolution of societies, ideas, and human relationships. From simple gestures in prehistoric times to today’s social media networks, language has always served as a mirror reflecting the aspirations, hopes, and fears of societies. As the world continues to develop, language remains a fundamental pillar of human identity and a means of understanding oneself and the world around us.

The workshop was sponsored by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Tariq Mohammed Tayeb Thahir, and attended by a number of faculty members, staff, and students, in collaboration with the Continuing Medical Education Unit.
