The Women’s Affairs Committee at the College of Political Science University of Mosul Launches an Awareness Campaign Against Violence Against Women

The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, through its Women’s Affairs Committee, launched an awareness campaign against violence against women on Sunday, 24 November 2024. The campaign will extend for sixteen days.

The campaign includes various activities, starting with promotional efforts such as posting informational and awareness posters, distributing and wearing the campaign’s emblem (in orange). Additionally, a series of lectures and practical workshops will be held throughout the campaign’s duration (details to be announced later), culminating in a special exhibition dedicated to the cause.

This initiative coincides with the international campaign to combat violence against women and girls, which is observed annually from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day.

The campaign is held under the auspices of the university’s president, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, supervised by the Dean of the College, and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit.
