The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Hosts an Awareness Session on Drug Prevention
The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul hosted an awareness session titled “Combating Drugs and Their Societal Effects,” organized by the Nineveh Directorate for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances on Sunday, 2 February 2025.
The session aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of this scourge and its negative impacts on individuals and society by highlighting prevention methods. Emphasis was placed on the importance of cooperation between security agencies and academic institutions to safeguard against this serious phenomenon.
The session consisted of a single lecture delivered by the Media Officer of the aforementioned directorate, Mr. Falah Mahdi Saleh, in the presence of the Training Director, Mr. Luay Mohammed Hassan, and was coordinated by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Khairallah Subhan Al-Jubouri.
The session was held under the patronage and attendance of the Dean of the College and the Administrative Assistant, along with several faculty members and students, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit.
