College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Organizes an Academic and Recreational Trip to the Ancient City of Hatra

The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul organized an academic and recreational trip to the ancient city of Hatra on Thursday, 17 April 2025. The trip was aimed at all members of the college, including faculty, staff, and students, led by the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Yaseen, and the Head of the International Relations Department, Professor Dr. Hazem Hamad Musa.

The trip included a field tour inside the historical city (located 80 kilometers southwest of Mosul), which is considered one of the most prominent archaeological sites in Iraq. Participants explored the archaeological landmarks, linking the theoretical knowledge gained in lectures with Iraq’s rich historical and cultural reality.

The trip also featured recreational and social segments, including dialogue sessions on the importance of cultural tourism and its role in strengthening national identity. The visit concluded with group photo sessions, particularly for graduating students.
