The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Holds a Training Course at the Nineveh Housing Department on Iraqi Women

The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul held a training course at the Nineveh Housing Department on the topic of Iraqi women, from 20 – 24 April 2025.

The course covered topics such as economic and investment empowerment of women, presented by Lecturer Basma Mohammed Nadhir and Assistant Lecturer Naba’ Azzedine; women’s rights in Iraqi law, by Assistant Professor Shahlaa Kamal and Lecturer Sajida Farhan; women’s empowerment in reconstruction and development, by Lecturer Dr. Afraa Riyadh and Assistant Lecturer Samah Suhail; the role of education in empowering Iraqi women, by Lecturer Dr. Kawthar Hassan and Assistant Lecturer Omnia Ibrahim; and the psychological and social empowerment of Iraqi women, by Lecturer Dr. Raghad Nizar and Assistant Lecturer Sarah Jassim.

This activity falls within the framework of the college and university’s role in serving humanity and society, through scientific, intellectual, and enlightening outreach, in support of community partnership and in pursuit of the goals of sustainable development.

The course was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit.
