The Psychological Counseling Division at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, organized a student counseling workshop on autism
The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, held its counseling workshop entitled “Raising Awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)” during the period from 30 April 2025 to 7 May 2025.
The workshop addressed a range of topics, including the nature of autism, approaches to its treatment, genetic and environmental factors contributing to the disorder, and the psychological and social burden experienced by families of children with ASD.
Lectures were delivered by Dr. Shaimaa Nazem Hammoudi, Head of the Counseling Division; Assistant Lecturer Naba Azeddin Nahmad; Assistant Lecturer Sara Jasem Mohammed; and Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Younis Mohammed Mar’i.
The workshop was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit. It is part of the Division’s regular activities and was specifically aimed at first-year undergraduate students.
