A Field-Based Applied Study by Faculty Members of the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, on Iraq’s National Security Strategy in Confronting Terrorism and Intellectual and Cyber Extremism

The journal Al-Fikr Al-Qiyadi published in its Issue No. 1/2025 a field-based applied study entitled: “Iraq’s National Security Strategy in Confronting Terrorism and Intellectual and Cyber Extremism: An Applied Field Study in Nineveh Province Addressing a Societal Problem in Iraqi Society.”

This study was conducted by three faculty members from the Department of International Relations at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul: Assistant Professor Dr. Marwan Salem Ali, Assistant Professor Jasim Mohammed Taha and Lecturer Basma Mohammed Nadhir

The study aimed to analyze the frameworks of Iraq’s national security strategy and assess its effectiveness in confronting these phenomena. This research effort is part of the academic and scientific contributions undertaken by the college and the university to support applied studies that serve national security issues and address contemporary societal challenges through rigorous methodological and knowledge-based tools.
