College of Political Sciences

The College Council of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul held its 17th open meeting for the academic year 2024–2025 on Wednesday, 23 July 2025.

The council discussed the five-year plans of the academic departments for the years 2026 to 2030. It also reviewed mechanisms for research publication, particularly in global indexing platforms, with Scopus as a model. In this context, the formation and preparation of research teams for that purpose was also addressed, along with a number of administrative and academic matters.

The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie, and attended by the Scientific and Administrative Assistants, Assistant Professor Dr. Khairallah Subhan Al-Jubouri and Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Yassin. Also in attendance were the Heads of the Departments of International Relations and Public Policy, Professor Dr. Hazem Hamad Musa and Professor Dr. Waleed Salem Mohammed, the representative of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate – Nineveh Branch, Professor Dr. Adnan Khalaf Al-Badrani, and the Council’s Rapporteur, Assistant Professor Dr. Younis Mueyyad Al-Dabbagh.
