In Line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 4, 9, 16, and 17): Quality Education; Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions; and Partnerships for the Goals The Deanery of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Holds its Periodic Meeting with Division and Unit Heads

In implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)—the Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jasem Al-Taie, chaired a periodic meeting with the heads of divisions and administrative units on Sunday, 3 August 2025.

The meeting addressed the importance of proper drafting of official correspondence and the necessity of ensuring they are free from spelling and grammatical errors. Discussions also covered the topic of employee leave in its various forms (regular, timed, and medical), emphasizing adherence to the approved administrative frameworks and regulations.

Additionally, the participants discussed the concept and objectives of sustainable development, highlighting the need to integrate these goals into various activities, events, and both organizational and technical aspects of the college’s operations. The meeting also tackled the issue of electronic archiving, stressing the importance of regulating and enhancing it in line with institutional standards.

The objective of the meeting was to follow up on administrative workflows within the college, identify the key challenges faced by the divisions and units, and work toward addressing them. It also aimed to strengthen communication and coordination across the college’s departments to enhance institutional performance and improve the quality of academic and administrative services in alignment with the college’s vision and strategic plans.

Also in attendance was the Administrative Assistant Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Yassin.
