The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Receives a Ministerial Committee to Evaluate the Scientific and Academic Status of Political Science Colleges in Iraqi Universities

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17: Partnerships to Achieve the Goals—the ministerial committee responsible for evaluating the scientific and academic status of political science colleges in Iraqi universities conducted a visit to the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul on Monday, 18 August 2025. The committee was composed of the Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Tikrit, Professor Dr. Qasim Alwan Al-Zubaidi, accompanied by the college lecturer Professor Dr. Harith Qahtan Abdullah.
During their tour of the college, the committee reviewed the performance of the two scientific departments, in addition to the academic and administrative units. They also inspected the classrooms, the discussion hall, and other college facilities to closely assess the level of infrastructure and the educational environment, as well as to evaluate academic programs and the adopted scientific development mechanisms.
The visit is part of an annual ministerial tradition aimed at enhancing the quality of education, standardizing academic performance criteria, ensuring the advancement of the outputs of political science colleges in Iraq, and expanding the scope of positive competition among them.
The committee was received and accompanied by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jasim Al-Taie, and the Scientific Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Khairallah Sibhan Al-Jubouri.
