The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul attends a workshop at the University Presidency on enhancing strategic planning and developing institutional performance

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals — Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals — the Department of Studies and Planning at the University Presidency, in cooperation with the College of Administration and Economics, organized a workshop entitled “Preparing the Strategic Plan for Colleges and Centers” on Sunday, 24 August 2025.
The workshop was attended by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jassim, along with several deans, assistant deans, and other stakeholders. Representing the College of Political Science, the Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie, attended, along with the Assistant Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs and the heads of the Quality Assurance and Studies & Planning Units.
The workshop covered several topics, including the strategic model and its importance, defining vision, mission, and objectives, conducting environmental analysis using the SWOT methodology, and exploring ways to translate plans into practical programs and projects that can be implemented.
This workshop falls within the framework of the university’s efforts to enhance institutional performance and promote a culture of planning.
