Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Delivers an Awareness Lecture on Human Dignity and Value in Conjunction with the International Day of Peace
In line with the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 4: Quality Education, and Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions—the Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, Assistant Professor Dr. Sohaib Khalid Jasim Al-Taie, delivered an awareness lecture entitled “Human Dignity between Appreciation and Neglect” on Sunday, 21 September 2025.
The lecture aimed to clarify the concept of human value, as well as its psychological and social dimensions, by identifying forms of violation against this value and their negative consequences. Real-life examples were presented to highlight the magnitude of the issue, along with preventive and remedial suggestions to promote respect for human beings and safeguard their dignity.
The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Jamal Kamal Ismail, Head of the Committee for National and International Days, as part of the committee’s ongoing activities and in conjunction with the International Day of Peace. The lecture was attended by several members of the College Council, along with dozens of faculty and administrative staff.
