College of Political Sciences

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals—the Scientific Affairs Department at the Presidency of the University of Mosul organized a specialized workshop that addressed the key activities and mechanisms related to the implementation of the government program and the Applied Research Platform. The workshop was held on Wednesday, 24 September 2025, and was directed and attended by the Scientific Assistant, Professor Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jassim.

Also in attendance were assistant deans for scientific affairs from the colleges, directors of research centers, heads of scientific departments, and program representatives. Representing the College of Political Science were the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Khairallah Sabhan Al-Jubouri; the Head of the Scientific Affairs Unit, Lecturer Dr. Sarah Jassim Mohammed; and the Applied Research Platform representative, Assistant Lecturer Ziyad Abdulrahman Ali.

The workshop comes as part of the university’s efforts to activate the government program and the Applied Research Platform, in pursuit of strengthening its role in advancing scientific research and its applications. This aligns with the ministry’s objectives, contributes to enhancing the standing of higher education, and keeps pace with global standards.
