College of Political Sciences

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals; the Science and Technology Parks Department at the University of Mosul organized an introductory workshop on the department’s mechanism of work and ways of cooperation with the university’s formations, on Thursday, 25 September 2025.

The workshop was attended by assistant deans for scientific affairs in the university’s colleges, in addition to unit heads and liaison members in the colleges. Representing the College of Political Science were Dr. Ali Bashar Bakr, Lecturer and Head of the Career Development, Employment, and Follow-Up Unit; Lecturer Ahmed Faisal Ali, Head of the Scientific Output Marketing Unit; and Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Akram Jameel, Liaison Member for the Technology Incubator.

The workshop included a detailed presentation of the programs implemented by the department in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as its role in enhancing partnerships between the university and different sectors of society. It also reviewed the key services provided to pioneering and innovative projects, in addition to discussing mechanisms of cooperation with colleges to encourage students and researchers to transform their ideas into applicable projects.

The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of adhering to the implementation of activity plans according to the timelines set by the Ministry, thereby strengthening the university’s role as a hub for creativity and innovation.
