The second session of the Industrial Advisory Council of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul discusses the plan for joint activities with partner institutions

In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal Sixteen: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions; the meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, Assistant Professor Dr. Sohaib Khalid Jasim Al-Taie, on Wednesday, 22 October 2025.
The council discussed the plan for joint activities with partner institutions and explored the possibility of preparing an annual cooperation plan with government institutions and civil society organizations through organizing joint workshops and seminars that promote the concept of social responsibility within the college.
The meeting also addressed ways to align the college’s programs and curricula with the needs of state institutions and the local community, as well as identifying the problems faced by these institutions and directing research and postgraduate theses toward solving them.
The discussions concluded with a proposal to prepare the project “Human Rights Week at the University of Mosul,” which aims to raise awareness of human rights culture among students and the university community.
The meeting was attended by all members of the Advisory Council, a diverse group composed of members of the College Council and representatives from the Departments of Migration and Displacement, the Human Rights Commission, the Electoral Commission of Nineveh, the People’s Relief Organization, and other civil society organizations.
