The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul embodies its humanitarian mission through the “My School” initiative to support education and care for orphans and the needy

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal One: No Poverty, and Goal Four: Quality Education, the Volunteer Work Unit of the Student Activities Division at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, implemented the “My School” initiative to support education and care for orphans and the needy on Thursday, 30 October 2025. The initiative’s activities were held in the presence of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Ta’i, along with several members of the College Council, as well as a group of faculty members, staff, and students.

The event included the distribution of school bags and stationery to orphaned and needy students, reflecting the university’s and the college’s commitment to supporting education and extending care and attention to the most vulnerable groups.

The initiative comes in response to the Minister’s initiative titled “My School,” which aims to unify national efforts to support orphaned and needy children in public schools and to enhance the spirit of cooperation between state institutions and society.
