The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Holds a Workshop on Mechanisms for Promoting Justice and Combating Discrimination

In achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 10: Reducing Inequality, and Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, held a workshop entitled: “Discrimination and Equality: Mechanisms for Promoting Justice and Combating Discrimination in Society,” on Tuesday, 4 November 2025.
The workshop discussed mechanisms for combating discrimination among individuals, the impact of social discrimination on weakening national cohesion, the importance of justice and equality in national policies, and the effects of extremist political discourse among segments of society.
The lectures were presented by Assistant Lecturer Samah Suhail Behnam and Assistant Lecturer Naba’ Azz Al-Din Mohammed.
The workshop was held under the supervision of the Dean of the College, and in cooperation with the two academic departments, as well as the Human Rights Division at the University Presidency.
