College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Holds a Workshop on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
In alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 10: Reducing Inequalities, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, held a workshop entitled “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Challenges and Solutions to Ensure the Rights of This Group” on Thursday, 6 November 2025.
The workshop discussed topics related to disability and sustainable development, the role of public policies in achieving the inclusion of persons with disabilities, and the mechanisms for rehabilitating and empowering them through continuous education and training.
The lectures were delivered by Lecturer Sajida Farhan Hussein, Lecturer Basma Mohammed Nadhir, Lecturer Najwan Hani Mahmood, and Assistant Lecturer Ilham Saeed Qadir.
The workshop was held under the supervision of the Dean of the College, and in cooperation with both academic departments, as well as the Human Rights Division of the University Presidency.
