Launching the Sixteen Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul
In alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 5: Gender Equality, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, the College of Political Science has launched the Sixteen Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, starting Tuesday, 25 November 2025.
The campaign includes a variety of activities and events aimed at raising community awareness and promoting a culture of respect for women. It highlights the different forms of violence and mechanisms to reduce them through lectures, workshops, and media campaigns within the college.
The campaign is organized by the Women’s Affairs Committee in cooperation with the Human Rights Unit (at the college) and the Women’s Affairs Unit (at the university presidency). Further details on the specific activities of the sixteen-day campaign will be announced later.
