Launching the Second Issue of Volume One of Al-Rafidain Journal of Political Science

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 5: Gender Equality, Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal 13: Climate Action, Goal 15: Life on Land, and Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions—and in collaboration with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, the second issue of Volume One of Al-Rafidain Journal of Political Science was launched on 2 December 2025, featuring a total of eighteen research papers.

The published studies addressed various topics in political science, most notably the relationship between political systems and sustainable development, analysis of societal stability in post-conflict countries, refugee issues and their reintegration in the context of political transformations, the impact of social values on public policy-making, the religious and cultural roots of political violence, dimensions of strategic thought in guiding the foreign policies of major powers, international policies toward Africa, Islamic principles in political decision-making, regional roles in Middle Eastern crises, the impact of sustainable peace on developing international economic relations, contemporary theories in war management, the implications of pandemics on international strategies, consociational democracy and its role in enhancing social integration, militarization of the economy and its relation to political system stability, political dynamics causing societal fragmentation, institutional defense mechanisms against populism, as well as the role of the military institution in political transition processes in the Arab world.
