College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Attends a Training Workshop on Academic Promotions According to the Electronic System
In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals — Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions — and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit (at the Presidency of the University of Mosul), the College of Law organized a training workshop entitled “Academic Promotions According to the Electronic System and Its Latest Updates” on Monday, 1 December 2025.
The workshop was attended by a number of university leaders as well as a group of faculty members and researchers. The Dean of the College of Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jasim Al-Ta’i, attended along with several members of the College Council and a number of instructors.
The workshop included a comprehensive presentation on the effective regulations governing academic promotions, an explanation of the latest developments and related ministerial directives, and a spotlight on the standards of scientific rigor required for research submitted for promotion procedures. It also addressed the mechanisms of using the electronic promotion system and the necessary steps for accurately completing promotion files, in addition to discussing key technical and administrative notes that help avoid common errors in promotion transactions.
