Two faculty members from the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul participate in a workshop held by the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering on promoting a culture of human rights

In fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal Four: Quality Education, and Goal Sixteen: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning/ Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul; the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering held a workshop titled “Promoting a Culture of Human Rights among University Students” on Thursday, 11 December 2025.
The workshop consisted of three lectures delivered by a group of distinguished female faculty members. From the College of Political Science, the lectures were presented by Dr. Rasha Suhail Mohammed, Lecturer in the International Relations Department, and Ms. Naba’ Ezz Al-Deen Mohammed, Assistant Lecturer in the Public Policy Department.
The workshop aimed to reinforce a culture of human rights among students, enhance their awareness of its fundamental principles, and highlight its importance within the university environment and in building a society that respects rights and freedoms.
The workshop was held under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, supervised by the Dean of the aforementioned college, and in conjunction with International Human Rights Day.
