College of Political Science, University of Mosul Conducts a Field Visit to the Palace of Culture and Arts in Nineveh

In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal Four: Quality Education, and Goal Eleven: Sustainable Cities and Communities—and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit (at the Presidency of the University of Mosul), as well as the Human Rights and Continuing Education Units (at the College of Political Science), the Student Activities Division / Scout Activities Unit organized a field visit to the Palace of Culture and Arts of Nineveh Governorate (located in the Bab Al-Baidh area on the right bank of Mosul), on Thursday, 18 December 2025.

The visit aimed to introduce students to the cultural and artistic role of the Palace of Culture and Arts through familiarization with its activities and programs, to enhance awareness of the importance of culture and arts in building national identity and consolidating societal values, in addition to developing students’ artistic appreciation and encouraging their participation in cultural events, thereby contributing to the promotion of quality education and the building of sustainable cities and local communities.

The activity was held under the supervision of the College Deanship and targeted students, with the attendance of a number of faculty members.
