The dissertation highlighted the strategies employed by Iraqi conference interpreters across the pre-event, in-event, and post-event phases of interpreting tasks. It examined how these strategies are applied in professional practice, determined the frequency of their use, and described the demographic and professional characteristics of Iraqi interpreters. Furthermore, the study adopted a mixed-methods research design, combining qualitative data based on structured interviews conducted with (14) Iraqi interpreters, and quantitative data gathered through a structured questionnaire that included (50) Iraqi interpreters. The findings revealed that Iraqi interpreters employ a wide spectrum of strategies across all three phases of interpretation.
