University of Mosul, College of Political Science Faculty Member, Lecturer Dr. Shaimaa Nazhim Al-Obaidi, Completes Five Ministerial Training Courses via the Eduba Platform

In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions—and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, Lecturer Dr. Shaimaa Nazhim Al-Obaidi, a faculty member in the Department of Public Policy at the College of Political Science, successfully completed five accredited online training courses organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research through the Eduba platform. Upon fulfilling all course requirements and successfully passing the assessment examinations, she was awarded five certificates of completion.

The training courses covered a range of significant academic and research topics, including the Bologna Process in Iraqi universities, how to write a research paper from a reviewer’s perspective, the reasons for research article rejection and how to avoid them, selecting an appropriate and reputable academic journal, and key considerations for writing and publishing review articles. These courses contribute to strengthening research competencies, improving the quality of academic output, and keeping pace with the latest developments in scholarly publishing and higher education.

This achievement reflects the College’s commitment to encouraging its academic staff to pursue continuous professional development and actively participate in the specialized training programs offered by the Ministry. Such initiatives enhance academic and research competencies, promote a culture of lifelong learning, support the quality of academic performance, and contribute to achieving institutional excellence.
