In implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 4: Quality Education; Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth; Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions; and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals—the ministerial committee tasked with evaluating the scientific and academic performance of political science colleges in Iraqi universities for the academic year 2025–2026 conducted a visit to the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul on 16–17 August 2026. The committee consisted of the Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Tikrit, Professor Dr. Qasim Alwan Saeed, accompanied by the college’s Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Nasser Zain Al-Abideen Ahmed.

During its tour of the college, the committee reviewed the performance of the two academic departments, in addition to the scientific and administrative divisions and units. It also inspected the classrooms, discussion hall, and other college facilities to thoroughly assess the level of infrastructure and the educational environment, as well as to evaluate the academic programs and the mechanisms adopted for scientific development.

Such visits aim to enhance the quality of education and standardize academic performance criteria, thereby contributing to improving the outcomes of political science colleges in Iraq and expanding the scope of positive competition among them.

The committee was received and accompanied by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jasim Al-Taie, and the Scientific and Administrative Assistant Deans, Assistant Professor Dr. Younis Muayyad Younis and Assistant Professor Dr. Marwan Salim Ali.
