In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities; Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities; and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning/ Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, the engineering and technical staff of the Reconstruction and Projects Unit at the College of Political Science commenced a comprehensive campaign to maintain and rehabilitate the student information desk entrance and its surrounding facilities on Wednesday, 19 August 2026.

The campaign included the rehabilitation, maintenance, and modernization of the student information desk entrance and all its associated facilities, in addition to reorganizing and maintaining the gardens located on both sides of the road leading to the entrance. These efforts aim to improve the college’s overall appearance and create a more attractive and well-organized university environment. The campaign also included the development and maintenance of the entrance designated for persons with disabilities, ensuring ease of access and movement within the college and contributing to the provision of a university environment that takes into account universal accessibility requirements and equal opportunities for all students. Furthermore, immediate and comprehensive measures were undertaken to address the nearby water drainage pipe adjacent to the main entrance, thereby facilitating smooth movement and the arrival of students while reducing any obstacles they may encounter.

The campaign is part of the college’s plan to develop its infrastructure and enhance its facilities and services, coinciding with the approaching start of the new academic year 2026–2027, and reflecting its commitment to providing a model, safe, educational, and well-organized environment worthy of its dear students.
