In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal Four: Quality Education, and Goal Five: Gender Equality, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning/Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, the Department of International Relations at the College of Political Science held a scientific workshop entitled “Scientific Research Writing Skills and Publication in Indexed International Databases” on Tuesday, 15 September 2026.

The workshop aimed to develop researchers’ skills in writing scientific research in accordance with rigorous academic standards, introduce the recognized scientific methods for preparing and formulating research, and highlight the requirements for publishing in reputable scientific journals and indexed international databases.

The workshop consisted of two lectures delivered alternately by the Heads of the Departments of International Relations and Public Policy, Prof. Dr. Hazim Hamad Musa and Prof. Dr. Ziyad Samir Zaki.

The workshop was held under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jasim Al-Ta’i, and targeted the teaching staff as well as postgraduate students.
