Master’s thesis in the Private Law Branch on the principle of proportionality in the Civil Procedure Law / Comparative Study,,,
On Monday, February 24, 2025, the Private Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on the principle of proportionality in the Civil Procedure Law / Comparative Study, part of which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, and a number of members of the College Council and its lecturers.
The thesis submitted by researcher Ahmed Jamal Daoud in the Private Law Branch dealt with the principle of proportionality in the Civil Procedure Law as one of the fundamental principles that aim to achieve justice and ensure a balance between the rights of the conflicting parties.
The thesis aims to clarify the jurisprudential difference regarding the concept of proportionality in addition to clarifying that proportionality is one of the principles that ensure the proper application of the law in addition to its role, i.e. proportionality, in improving the process of making judicial decisions.
The discussion committee was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Habib Obaid Marza and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Obaid Awad and Assistant Professor Dr. Ruwa Khalil Ibrahim and the membership and supervision of Professor Dr. Fares Ali Omar.
