A Scientific Workshop Entitled: “The Impact of Administrative and Financial Corruption on Human Rights”

The Human Rights Unit at the College of Law – University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Human Rights Division at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, held a scientific workshop entitled “The Impact of Administrative and Financial Corruption on Human Rights.”
This workshop came as part of the programs implementing the National Strategy for Higher Education and its Human Resources Development Program, in line with changes in organizational structures, aiming to highlight the negative repercussions of administrative and financial corruption on the human rights system and to explain the legal and institutional mechanisms capable of combating it and reducing its effects in society.
The workshop included a number of scientific lectures. The first paper addressed the impact of administrative and financial corruption on the governance of human rights, while the second paper discussed administrative and financial corruption: its legal nature, its impact on rights, and anti-corruption measures. The third paper highlighted the role of competent authorities in combating administrative and financial corruption in Iraq.
The workshop was attended by a number of professors, researchers, and college students, where scientific discussions enriched the workshop’s themes and contributed to the exchange of views on ways to promote the principles of integrity, transparency, and the protection of human rights.
The workshop activities took place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, in Dr. Laila Hall at the College of Law, University of Mosul.
