Scientific Workshop

The Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at our college, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Dr. Layla Abdullah Saeed Hall, a scientific workshop titled “Employing Artificial Intelligence in the Legal Profession,” which featured a number of specialized research papers.
The following presented:

Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Jajan Younis, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department, presented a research paper highlighting the employment of artificial intelligence in the legal profession, reviewing the most prominent challenges and opportunities associated with this field.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Saja Omar Shaban, addressed the topic of “The Smart Lawyer and Predictive Justice,” explaining the role of modern technologies in supporting legal work.

Dr. Makhlad Abdul Razzaq Hamdan (Instructor), discussed the organization of the lawyer’s work in light of artificial intelligence applications.
The workshop was moderated by Dr. Shaimaa Abdul Sattar. The workshop witnessed fruitful scientific interaction and highlighted a number of modern technical concepts and terms that have begun to circulate in courtrooms and judicial arenas, such as “smart lawyer” and “predictive justice,” as well as discussing ways to confront the challenges and dilemmas posed by these digital transformations in the legal environment.
