On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed the Master’s thesis entitled “Legal Mechanisms to Counter Hate Speech in the Digital Space” submitted by the student Fahd Falah Hassan Al-Juraisi, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Raqeeb Mohammed Jassim Al-Hamawi.

The thesis addressed the topic of legal mechanisms to counter hate speech in the digital space, as one of the most prominent challenges posed by rapid technological development and the resulting expansion of internet usage and digital communication platforms. This has contributed to the spread of hate speech and its negative effects on individuals, societies, and the human rights system.
