College of Law Holds a Scientific Workshop to Guide Postgraduate Students in Writing Theses and Dissertations

Under the patronage of the Deanship of the College of Law at the University of Mosul, a scientific workshop was held entitled “Guiding Postgraduate Students (Master’s and Doctoral) on Primary and Secondary Observations in Writing Academic Theses”, in the Moot Court Hall on Tuesday, 7 July 2026.
The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Ayser Essam Dawoud, Head of the Private Law Branch, who addressed the most prominent methodological and scientific observations related to the preparation of Master’s theses and doctoral dissertations. He reviewed common errors made by some postgraduate students and mechanisms for avoiding them, in line with sound academic principles in research and scholarly writing.
The workshop was attended by a number of postgraduate students, who engaged with its themes through interventions and inquiries, as part of the College’s commitment to developing researchers’ skills and elevating the standard of scientific research, thereby contributing to the production of academic theses and dissertations characterized by precision and scientific quality.
