The College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed, on Monday, August 10, 2026, the master’s thesis titled “Civil Liability for the Use of Sports Doping – A Comparative Study”, submitted by student Fouad Waleed Ahmed Al-Tai, under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Mohammed Taher Qassim Al-Oujar.

The thesis addressed the subject of civil liability arising from the use of sports doping, as one of the modern legal topics that has grown in importance with the rapid development in the sports field and the legal disputes it has generated related to the use of doping and prohibited substances.

The study aimed to clarify the legal basis for civil liability arising from the use of sports doping, identify its elements and effects, as well as conducting a comparative study between Iraqi, Emirati, and French legislation, and benefiting from international efforts made in this field.

The examination committee consisted of Professor Dr. Akram Mahmoud Hussein Al-Badou as Chairperson, Dr. Muha Ramzi Mohammed Al-Haj Younis (Lecturer) as a member, Ms. Sara Ahmed Hamad as a member, and Associate Professor Dr. Mohammed Taher Qassim Al-Oujar as a member and supervisor.
