Towards a Green University and an Outstanding Educational Environment

The distinguished administrative staff of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Mosul continues its dedicated efforts in maintaining and landscaping the College gardens, with the aim of presenting the College in a manner befitting the University of Mosul and providing a healthy and comfortable environment for students and university personnel, particularly the students of the College of Veterinary Medicine.
For many years, Mr. Riyadh Ali Ghaib and Mr. Ammar Ibrahim, both Senior Chief Gardeners, have consistently overseen the maintenance of the College gardens through continuous cleaning activities, the planting of trees and flowers, and the application of modern irrigation techniques. These efforts contribute significantly to preserving the aesthetic character of the College and sustaining its green spaces.
These initiatives are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
SDG 4: Quality Education
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
SDG 13: Climate Action
and reflect the University of Mosul’s ongoing commitment to becoming one of the distinguished universities globally in providing a supportive and environmentally sustainable educational setting for its students.
