Workshop Title: How to Be a Successful Employee in Higher Education

The College of Veterinary Medicine organized a workshop titled “How to Be a Successful Employee in Higher Education.” In implementation of the directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and as part of programs aimed at developing and qualifying newly appointed staff, the College of Veterinary Medicine – Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit, held this workshop on Monday, April 6, 2026.

The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Ilyas Khidr Hussein (Head of the Career development, Employment, and Follow-up Unit).

The workshop aimed to:

Introduce participants to the qualities and skills of a successful employee in higher education institutions.

Promote values of discipline, responsibility, and job commitment.

Develop communication skills and teamwork within the university environment.

Encourage continuous development and improvement of job performance quality.

This workshop is part of a series of training and development workshops organized by the college for newly appointed staff, aiming to enhance their technical and teaching skills and enable them to perform their academic duties in line with the requirements of modern education and digital transformation.

The workshop also falls under the efforts of the College of Veterinary Medicine to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education).
