The concentration on the role of media, culture, security and academia elites in building peace and raising societal security is pivotal especially in places that witnessed warfare stimulated by radical thoughts. These were the main points in the webinar held by the Regional Studies Center, in cooperation with College of Political Sciences, aiming at raising security culture and calling for suggestions and recommendations that may maintain societal peace and fight back extremism thoughts in youth.The webinar included lectures that varied in scope but aimed at the same concern: the ideological security and its role in fortifying society against crime, security media and its role in reinforcing societal stability in Iraq, cyber-security in Iraq: reality and challenges, reconciliation justice and peace building in Nineveh, and others.
