Asserting the vital role of University of Mosul in serving Mosul in all aspects, the University has special interest in preserving the heritage of Mosul by doing researches that highlight the unknown part of it. In this respect, and under auspices and presence of Rector Al-Ahmedy, Mosul Studies Center holds its first forum titled (Mosul Metropolis of History). This forum is the first activity of the Center in its first cultural season held in the Hall of the Scientific and Cultural club of the University, on Sunday, December 22, 2019. The event was attended by a number of deans of colleges, specialists in history, professors and other interested people. The importance of preserving the heritage of Mosul was highlighted in a lecture titled (Mosul… Activity, Present Progress and Prospects of the Future) delivered by Dr. Has him Yahya Al-Mallah. Last, at the margin of the forum, Mosul heritage antiquities show was opened to the audience.
