MOHESR Declares the Adoption of the Credits System in 12 Colleges
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research declares the adoption of the credits system in 12 colleges this academic year 2019-2020. Ihab Naji, general director of the Office of Studies, Planning and Follow-Up said that the Minister of Higher Eduaction, Prof. Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail has approved the adoption of the credits curricula for the first level only (the first year students) in the colleges of: Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Education, Information Technology, Computer Science and Mathematics, the other engineering specializations in the technical colleges and institutes, the College of Law, Political Science, Languages, Media, Administration and Economics, and the College of Urban Planning for the academic year 2019-2020. The general director added that the credits system provides multiple choices for the students to freely choose the topics they wish to study according to the required hours for each specialization without affecting the scientific competency.
