Toward Aligning Academic Specializations with Market Needs: A Lecture on Promising Economic Fields at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul

Under the guidance of Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit organized a scientific lecture on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, entitled:
“Focusing on Economic Fields that Meet Labor Market Needs.”
The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Wajeeh Al-Ni‘mah, who discussed the most prominent modern economic fields witnessing increasing demand in the labor market. He highlighted the importance of aligning academic outputs with the actual needs of economic sectors.
The lecture aimed to introduce students to economic fields that meet labor market requirements, while also developing their practical skills and enhancing their professional readiness. This contributes to improving their employment opportunities and keeping pace with the rapid changes in the business environment.
This event comes as part of the ongoing efforts of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul to support training and employment programs, and to empower students with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective integration into the labor market.
