Decisions Reinforcing Academic Discipline… The Council of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Holds Its Eighteenth Session and Outlines the Next Phase

The Council of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul held its eighteenth regular session for the 2025–2026 academic year on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the college’s deanship headquarters. The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, with the attendance of the assistant deans, heads of academic departments, and a number of officials from relevant administrative units.
The session began with a review of the administrative and academic directives issued by the University Council, along with discussions on how to effectively implement them in line with current requirements. These efforts aim to enhance institutional performance and strengthen administrative harmony within the college.
The meeting addressed several key academic and organizational issues. The council emphasized organizing the actual needs for study leave through the electronic system for applicants among the college staff. It also highlighted the importance of completing preparations for final examinations for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, ensuring a smooth examination process in accordance with precise standards.
Furthermore, the council stressed the importance of following up on faculty research groups and encouraging the publication of their work in reputable international journals. It underscored the need for careful verification when selecting globally recognized journals that align with the college’s specializations, in order to maintain the quality and integrity of scientific output.
The session concluded with the review of departmental reports and detailed discussions of their contents, within a framework that promotes transparency, integration of roles, and support for sustainable institutional planning—ultimately enhancing the college’s standing within the university and advancing its academic and administrative performance.
