“Carbon Footprint”: The Industrial Management Department at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, Discusses Environmental Sustainability Strategies

The Department of Industrial Management at the University of Mosul organized a scientific workshop titled “Carbon Footprint” on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. The event took place in Hall No. 2 of the Management Information Systems Department at 12:30 PM.
The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Amal Sarhan Suleiman, who addressed the concept of the carbon footprint and the mechanisms used to measure it. The presentation highlighted the most prominent practical tools and strategies that contribute to reducing carbon emissions and promoting environmental sustainability concepts across both personal and institutional activities.
Key Objectives of the Workshop:
Empowering participants to understand the environmental impacts of carbon emissions.
Raising awareness about the vital importance of adopting sustainable practices to protect the environment and mitigate climate impacts.
The workshop was attended by several department faculty members, researchers, and students. It concluded with scientific discussions that emphasized the necessity of integrating environmental sustainability concepts into various academic and productive sectors.
