Shaping the Next Academic Year: Council of the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul Discusses Academic Plans and Graduate Studies

The Council of the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, held its regular meeting on Tuesday, 2 June 2026, chaired by the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Uday Salem Ali, and attended by the department’s faculty members. The meeting focused on a number of academic and organizational matters in preparation for the upcoming academic year.
The meeting addressed several key topics, foremost among them the distribution of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as mechanisms for supervising graduate students in a manner that aligns with the academic specializations and expertise of faculty members. These measures aim to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and fairness in the allocation of academic responsibilities.
The Council also discussed early preparations for the next academic year, including the updating of scientific and administrative committees and the completion of academic work requirements. Emphasis was also placed on adherence to official working hours and the promotion of institutional discipline within the department.
Furthermore, faculty members assigned to academic supervision were directed to prepare proposals for master’s thesis and doctoral dissertation titles. These proposals will be submitted to the Scientific Committee and the Department Council before being forwarded to the College Council for approval. This process is intended to support the advancement of scientific research and further develop the department’s graduate programs.
