Within Its Strategic Plan to Develop Infrastructure… College of Administration and Economics Studies a Parking Lot Expansion Project

Under the directives of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, the Dean—accompanied by the Associate Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Abdulrahman Zuhair Abdulqader, and in coordination with the Reconstruction and Projects Unit at the college—conducted a field tour on Monday, August 17, 2026, to study the possibility of expanding the parking lot dedicated to faculty members and staff.
This step comes in response to the continuous increase in the number of faculty and staff members, and out of a keenness to provide a more organized university environment by preparing additional parking spaces, which will contribute to addressing congestion and regulating traffic within the campus.
The Dean emphasized that the project falls within the college’s strategic plan aimed at developing infrastructure and improving the work environment. He explained that the project will involve establishing a new parking lot of an appropriate area, provided that the necessary engineering plans are prepared prior to execution following the completion of official approvals from the Presidency of the University of Mosul.
This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), through developing university facilities and enhancing infrastructure to provide a more efficient and organized working environment for college personnel.
