University of Mosul Seminars In The Human Rights Day

In the occasion of Human Rights Day, and under auspices of Rector Qusay Al-Ahmedy, Ninewaiyat Volunteering Team, jointly with the Higher Commission of Human Rights – Nineveh, with the support of the Foundation of Peace and Freedom, holds a seminar at the hall of occasions of College of Nursing on Wednesday December 11 2019. The seminar was attended by Dr. Ahmed Tariq Yasseen, Rector Deputy for Administration Affairs, on behalf of Rector Al-Ahmedy, Commander of Nineveh Operations, the manager of the Human Rights Commission Bureau – Nineveh, a number of Nineveh Province Council Representatives, Head of the Branch of Human Rights Law of College of Law, the manager of Ninewaiyat Volunteering Team and other officials in the field of human rights. The discussions in the seminar focused on the most important issues and roles the Commission has and the mechanisms of observing human rights and the violation of these rights. The effective role of the Commiission in bringing these matters before the executive and judicial bodies in order to maintain these rights were highlighted. The participating parts emphasized the importance of initiating intercommunication to pave the way for organized team working in the future.
