Plastic Art Status In Mosul

College of Archaeology, in cooperation with Ministry of Tourism, Antiquity and Culture, held a virtual workshop titled (Plastic Art and its Representations in Mosul after 2014).The event, which was under the auspices of Rector Alahmady and the supervision of Dean of the College, Assist Prof. Dr. Yasmin Abdulkarim Mohammed Ali, aimed at highlighting the reality of plastic art and its representations in the wake of the wars and turmoil that afflicted the city.A keynote speaker, Dr. Lami’a Jasim Al-Jiwari, Head of Department of Woman Empowerment at Ministry of Tourism, Antiquity and Culture, briefed on the reality of this art and its feasibility as a medium through which artists recorded the devastation, havoc and ruin that afflicted the city through vivid representations that varied in style and treatment.
